How to make the most of life?

You have a “moment” now. You do not have any control on the future. You cannot change the past, but you can decide what you want to do with the present. The “moment” does not depend on any person or any material, it just passes.

Life has different things to offer to different people. One may have health and wealth, another one may not. One may have all the material comforts, another one may be a begger. How to make the most of your life depends on you and nobody else.

A person can be at peace with himself in any kind of situation only if he decides so. You have to make your mind function according to your wish. This is not easy. It needs practise. If you say to your mind stop wandering and concentrate, mind has to do exactly that. It happens automatically when you are doing some work, but when you are sitting idle or when you are down with illness – you have to have something to think about. Now, you are the person who has to decide what you have to think, when you have nothing to think. If you are spiritual, your choice is to meditate. Well, if you are a materialist, what do you think when you are idle? Do these thoughts bring a momentary happiness or make you feel at peace? You can imagine so many things and get lost in a dream world. But, is that called making the most of your life? Again, it depends on oneself what he wants to do with himself.

The awareness of making the most of a moment itself can make us realise and realign our thoughts and nature. You are alive this moment, who knows, a bomb may blast nearby and you will be dead the next moment. So, make the most of this very moment.

What makes you happy?

Is it the multi-million figure in the bank account? Is it the property you own and the comforts you enjoy? Poor people may feel if they get money and property they will be happy. Sick people will feel if they had good health they would have been happy. But are the wealthy and healthy people really happy from within? I don’t think so. Every now and then they make headlines in the news for all other reasons.
The happiness I am referring is not the feeling that goes away. Real happiness is not achieved with materials or name and fame. A child may feel happy when it gets a chocolate or ice-cream and it goes away when the chocolate gets over. Same thing happens with any happiness that is attached with the matter. The moment one realizes this truth and starts searching for real happiness, he has taken a good step. But, the journey is not easy and everyone doesn’t recognize the actual route to happiness.
The path to the happiness lies in spirituality and not in materialism. People don’t consider spirituality now-a-days as they are fully immersed in their bodily relations and attachments. They simply don’t have “time” for spirituality. It’s true that only the fortunate ones recognize this path. Even while performing the daily tasks and living in a family and earning their livelihood, these people have the eternal bliss and that is the happiness I mean.

Two sides of The Earth

Impure side

Dams will burst, there will be earthquakes, icebergs will melt and the ocean will swallow the land. Nuclear bombs and other scientific instruments of destruction will perform their role perfectly. All of this is to happen; it is nothing new. Some people’s money will be stolen, some will be burnt and the rest will be acquired by the government.  All the souls will get purified and then return to the soul world like swarms of mosquitoes.

Pure side

All souls [in the bodies] will be stable in their original form of peace, love, happiness and contentment. No trace of vices will be seen anywhere. No diseases, no sorrow and no untimely deaths. The atmosphere and land would have become ‘Satopradhan’. Population will be very less and the resources in abundance. Even the animals will be happy and peaceful.

Now it is your turn to decide which side you want to be. It’s your choice :)

The Truth Prevails

In a world where there is no meaning for being honest, humble, virtuous and simple, people don't know what is right and what is wrong. Their actions are dictated by their own mind. To get their job done, people would go to any extent, be it telling lies, physical assault, thefts, violence, torture, murder, so on. Some people are so poor that they don't have food and shelter. Rest are struggling to improve their lifestyle. There is no end for the struggle to improve. Nobody has the feeling of being content, blissful and happy. Even the multimillionaires who can buy anything and everything with money are searching miserably for "peace of mind".

Now this is the climax of the World Drama Wheel. Every climax has an ending and that is the beginning of a new thing. How this climax is going to end? Will it be a happy ending or a sad one? What after that?

It is hard to believe that The God himself has come down to earth and is teaching people the beginning, middle and the ending of this World Drama. But, ultimately the "Truth prevails". It will be revealed to every soul on this earth that this world is going to end and there will be a new world of Truth. It starts with people becoming content, peaceful and happy. There won't be any vices like lust, anger, ego, greed etc.. The life will become simple and beautiful. The materialistic view will change to spiritual. This kind of happiness comes from within. It does not depend on any situation or material or relations. The nonperishable happiness is being spread by The God himself to create this new world. The countdown has begun :)

Powers

The Eight Powers

·         The power to let go…
In a second you pack up all wasteful thinking about past, present and future events and remain positive, lighthearted and free of burdens and worries.

·         The power to tolerate…
Like a fruit-bearing tree, you have the strength to remain unaffected by the storms, floods and droughts of life and can respond to challenges with a positive frame of mind. Irritation and annoyance disappear. Nothing disturbs your light frame of mind. The fragrance of this power is attractive to all.

·         The power to accept…
Like the ocean, which merges all that flows into it, you accommodate and merge all that happens, so past is past, and the future seems clear and bright. Like the ocean, you accept and encourage the presence, ideas and desires of others.

·         The power to decide…
With clarity and confidence, you assess all situations and the quality of choices, decisions and actions – your own and others – with accuracy.

·         The power to discern…
Like the trained eye of a jeweller who discerns the real from the imitation, your clarity of mind discerns beneficial from destructive, true from false, within a second.

·         The power to face…
Nothing seems like an obstacle, but rather a stepping-stone to victory. You have developed the ability to confront and resolve external and internal obstacles, tests and challenges with great faith and courage. To lack this power means to be dominated by external dramas.

·         The power to co-operate…
Having developed your ability to give your time, experience and wisdom in the service of others, you do not feel that you are competing against anyone. You understand that you are helping all selflessly. Here, the surrender of the ego is required.

·         The power to withdraw…
Like a tortoise, moving to a position of safety, you withdraw from the organs of the body, and become the seed, detached and an observer of the drama of life. You disengage from negative, hurtful situations and remain calm. Contentment comes.
